Malaysian travel startup Touristly, having recently sealed a partnership with AirAsia BIG Loyalty, will now offer concierge service to Tune Hotels, the sister company to budget airline AirAsia Bhd.
Touristly, an integrated travel platform offering holidaymakers a one-stop centre for customisable itinerary, has partnered Tune Hotel to provide the latter’s customers access to its platform for holiday planning.
“We are excited to roll out a customised solution for Tune Hotels that assists their guests who are on the travel booking path to find amazing things to do. Once they have locked down their flight and hotel plans, the natural thing to do is to plan the fun parts of the holiday experience, which is where we come in,” Touristly founder and chief executive officer Aaron Sarma said in a statement.
He explained that Touristly is an on ground activities platform that aims to complement players in the travel space such as airlines, hotels, loyalty programmes and travel agencies.
“With respect to these partnerships, our aim is to be an ancillary revenue platform that allows existing players an opportunity to provide additional offerings to their customers with no upfront investment,” he told DEALSTREETASIA.
Whether Touristly will deepen its relationship with the Tune Group, which has the Tune and AirAsia brands under its belt, Sarma was positive.
“Yes, you can expect further roll outs with companies within Tune Group and more in the months to come. We see this partnership with Tune Hotels as a synergistic with our earlier announcement with AirAsia BIG as it further positions Touristly within the larger travel industry ecosystem. Now customers can earn AirAsia BIG points for their flights on AirAsia, their accommodation at Tune Hotels and their travel itineraries on Tune Hotels’ Concierge powered by Touristly,” he said.
“Here at Tune Hotels, we endeavour to furnish our guests with quality service; great rooms, 24-hour security, centralised locations, necessary amenities and now with Touristly, we are able to further enhance their stay with us, taking the stress out of holiday planning,” Jack Tan , COO of Tune Hotels commented.
Aiming to change the way travellers and holidaymakers view the trip planning process, Touristly eliminates the need to browse through dozens of guidebooks, brochures, and websites in search of on-ground activities.
The platform offers over 7000 deals in 70 destinations around Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and has plans to add more destinations to its list.
Launched in June 2015, Touristly offers holiday itinerary solutions to hotels, B&B’s, and travel agencies, giving them access to their inventory of content, making the most of travellers and holidaymakers’ experience.
Touristly has raised investments from Netrove Ventures Group and is a recipient of Cradle’s CIP500 Grant. More recently, it won the Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace Malaysia, which will bring the startup to showcase their business at Pitch@Palace Global at St James’ Palace in the UK this December.
