Amusement park solutions provider Galasys has won new contract in China and Malaysia worth a combined £457,000, the company said on Monday.
Under the deal, Galasys will cooperate with the Burqin County of Xinjiang to develop Intelligent Tourism and Kanas Lake in the Altai Mountains, near the very northern tip of Xinjiang province, which will be the first site to benefit from the partnership.
The group will supply and implement ticketing platforms to most of the visitor attractions within Kanas Lake, while it has formed a partnership with Xinjiang Tourism Association which will see the government endorse Galasys for other scenic sites in the future.
“We are delighted to secure our latest attraction site in Kanas Lake and we are confident the new concept of Intelligent Tourism will spur more opportunities for Galasys in the future,” said group chief executive Kok Wah Seah.
Meanwhile, the group has also secured a three-year deal to provide several platforms including a ticketing base system, online ticketing and kiosk module to Penang Hill Corporation, which runs the Penang Hill Park in Malaysia.
Penang Hill’s number of annual visitors increased from 0.6m in 2011 to 1.36m in 2014, the group said.
Galasys shares were up 3.25% to 30.20p at 14:10 on Monday.
