Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Following the increase in traffic accidents, Emergency Assistance & Response Services (EARs) has announced the availability of their new nationwide service.
Due to the frustration faced by victims when they have to contact a host of different parties in the event of vehicle trouble or personal crimes, EARs has decided to provide a service that will aid their customers to get through a traumatic experience.
One such innovation is the availability of an iPhone application, which allows users to call for help with a push of a button. Once this panic button is tapped, a signal is sent to the HQ that will then respond to the notification in less than five seconds with a call to assess the condition. After that, EARs will make the necessary arrangements depending on your emergency to aid you. Then, EARs will alert five of your closest contacts to inform them about your situation.
“EARs was conceptualized mainly because I have many friends and family members who have experienced vehicle breakdowns or personal crimes, or who have had their car stolen,” said Edwin Ong, Chief Executive Officer, EARs. “Although there are services for each of the situations I’ve just mentioned, these services tend to work independently of one another, hence I felt the need for an all-in-one total solution for personal and automotive assistance, leveraging on a mobile device which many of us already have.”
The demo application is already available for download at the Apple App Store. However, for the full application to work, Malaysians will have to sign up for the Breakdown and Assistance (BRASS) plus Personal Alert(PAL) combined packages at only RM75 per year or RM10 per month.
