Hong Kong – Pixel Media has embarked on a joint venture with Fifth Media JSC with the opening of two offices in Vietnam aimed at owning a slice of the growing online ad market.
Pixel Media Vietnam will be headed by general manager Robin Hii who will lead a team of business and sales managers based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The company will build website partnerships with local web publishers and establish close working relationships with advertisers and agencies as well as develop cross network sales opportunities.
5th Media JSC is a Vietnamese mobile and digital media solutions and services company based in Hanoi.
Citing TNS media habit survey that the internet is the fastest growing medium in Vietnam with more than 20% of the population in major cities now online. Kevin Huang (pictured), CEO for Pixel Media, said he is optimistic in growing its online ad sales network opportunities in the country.
“We hope to shape the future of the Vietnamese market and aim to be an important player in the country’s internet and online advertising industry,”Huang said.
A number of website partnerships have been formed as part of the Pixel Media Vietnam Ad Network portfolio including the signing of ad sales representation agreements with Vietnamese websites such as 24h.com.vn, Zingvn and clip.vn.
Robin Hii, general manager for Pixel Media Vietnam said, “The opening of our Vietnam offices represents Pixel Media’s aim to develop a greater market share in Asia and to establish an early and influential presence in Vietnam’s booming online and mobile advertising market.”
According to the Vietnam Advertising Association, Vietnam’s ad and internet industry is expected to hit US$31 million by 2010 from US$10 million in 2007.
