Netrove, a regional boutique financial advisory firm today signed a collaborative agreement with FPT Securities of Vietnam whereby FPTS will work with Netrove closely in sourcing, assessing and advising local Vietnamese companies for investment by foreign institutions, overseas expansion or foreign IPOs & M&As. FPT Securities is based in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is a full service Vietnamese investment bank with more than 200 staff across Vietnam.

London (Thomson Financial) – FoaMasters International Ltd. reported a higher full-year pre-tax profit, despite some challenging operating conditions in the second half and said it remains confident of further growth in 2008. The China-based foam products maker said for the full year to the end of December its pretax profit increased to 8.9million pounds from pro-forma 6.65 million a year ago and revenues rose 42 percent to 102.6 million pounds. It said although it has plans to grow organically, it will consider acquisition and investment opportunities.

Hong Kong – Hong Kong – Flexible foamer and bedding producer FoaMasters International Ltd has become the first Chinese foam-making company to list on the UK’s AIM (alternative investment market).
However, the recent softness in the stock market has led to the firm downgrading its original investment plans by $ 23.5 million to $ 11.5 million, because it has gathered only around half of the $ 5 million that it hoped to raise.

HOUSEBUILDERS were yesterday big market winners as the City placed a huge bet on the Bank of England cutting interest rates.
Taylor Wimpey topped the bluechip risers with a 15p increase to 203p, while Barratt Developments and Persimmon advanced 26p to 467p and 36p to 796p respectively. Despite this, Taylor Wimpey and particularly Barratt, remain favourites to be relegated from the top flight at next week quarterly index reshuffle, following a disastrous few months for the sector.
