首相署中小企业拓展中心总执行长符策勤说,“SAME股权众筹”计划主要目的是推广一个配合性的融资选择,而不是间接取代商业银行和金融机构所提供的贷款式融资。

EQUITY crowdfunding may still be foreign to some people but by the end of the year, Malaysians will be able to see early fundraising and investment activities in growth-stage and small companies.
This comes after the Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC) June 11 announcement that six equity crowdfunding (ECF) platforms have been allowed to operate in the country.

Amusement park solutions provider Galasys has won new contract in China and Malaysia worth a combined £457,000, the company said on Monday.
Under the deal, Galasys will cooperate with the Burqin County of Xinjiang to develop Intelligent Tourism and Kanas Lake in the Altai Mountains, near the very northern tip of Xinjiang province, which will be the first site to benefit from the partnership.

In conjunction with the Synergy and Crowd funding forum by Securities Commission’s (SCxSC) on 11 June 2015, Propellar CrowdPlus Sdn Bhd, a portfolio company of the Netrove group was selected as a registered equity crowdfunding (ECF) platform operator in Malaysia by the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”). A MOU with MDeC was also signed on the same day as part of collaboration initiatives on the education and promotion of ECF in Malaysia.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) Thursday approved six equity crowdfunding (ECF) operators, opening an alternative funding platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The six platforms, local and foreign, are Alix Global, Ata Plus, Crowdonomic, Eureeca, PitchIN and Propellar Crowd+. These ECF operators are expected to commence their platforms by the end of 2015.

Malaysia has been at the forefront of advocating on behalf of internet finance in Southeast Asia. This week the Securities Commission Malaysia took another step in providing greater access to capital for innovative firms by announcing six approved equity crowdfunding platforms.
